Arborist Appreciation Day!
While most days we can be found enthusiastically hugging our favorite trees (because yes, we are literal tree huggers so whattttttt 😆), today is the perfect day to also offer up some big love to the important folks who help us care for them. The trees in our communities are essential to our physical and mental well-being, and an investment in their ongoing care is an investment in ourselves and in each other.
Licensed arborists are professionally trained in the art and science of planting, caring for, and maintaining individual trees. And while our day-to-day tree care may not require an arborist, when it comes to tree health and safety—things like diagnosing and treating disease or safely pruning mature trees—these skilled experts are always the best resource for protecting our trees. And if all this wasn’t enough of a reason to appreciate your favorite arborist today (and every day!), being an arborist is also recognized as one of our country’s most dangerous professions thanks to heights, wind and slippery conditions, electrical wires, falling tree limbs, and the use of equipment sharp enough to take off an arm or leg in a split second. Okay, yep: We will continue to leave this kind of thing to the professionals. 😬
Thank you, arborists!! We are grateful for you! ❤️🌳❤️🌳❤️
